Hey!
I’m Shauna.
The Big Picture
Everyone has a story. My current chapter looks like this:
I’m an entertainment journalism major and non-traditional student at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. I’m also a mom, a wife, a substitute teacher, a daydreamer, a writer, a dog lover and more. (Not necessarily in that order.)

I’m also a storyteller. I'm interested in using sounds, images and especially words to show and tell unforgettable stories about unforgettable people and places.
In everything that I do, curiosity and compassion lead the way. I always want to know more. It’s through sharing and understanding people's stories that we can all find common ground. Stories help us understand our neighbors, our world, and ourselves.

Up Next
In my next chapter, I’d like to find a job in journalism that allows me to share more stories. I’m particularly interested in writing human interest pieces, but I’m also passionate about local and state government, education and culture.

Even More Of My Story
Bookstores are my happy place -- they’re like libraries, but they won’t ask me to leave for drinking coffee. I enjoy thrift shopping, quilting and road trips. I’ll always take a detour to visit a cultural attraction of questionable significance. (I’m a sucker for the World’s Largest Anything.)
I live just outside of Nashville in a house full of books with my supportive husband, our two brilliant kids, and a mismatched pair of dogs. I am honored to be a part of their story.
